Visit to the Wine Taverns on the slopes of SpitzerbergWednesday 3rd August
Booking necessary
We invite you to visit the typical, Austrian Wine Taverns situated on the slopes of Spitzerberg, just outside the town Prellenkirchen, where local food and local wine can be enjoyed. Children are more than welcome here. The Romans started with planting wine in this area approximately 2000 years ago. Later wine cellars were drilled or dug into the fertile loose soil and many of the wine cellars still have their original form. In 1976 the renovation of the wine cellars started. They were supplied with electricity and connected to the local water and sewer system. In 1982 the wine museum was opened. Here you can see relics of the old wine-growing methods. To get to the wine cellars we offer you the following possibilities: A guided Walking Safari through the Spitzerberg vineyards. The walking tour takes approx. 1 hour.
